GOLDesp for Performance-Based Logistics

Any Asset, Anywhere, Anytime

GOLDesp is the Any Asset, Anywhere, Anytime solution that supports maintenance, repair, and operations (MRO) for total lifecycle support management of complex assets and weapons platforms, including ground support equipment and components. It is specifically designed for the needs of the aftermarket - the care and feeding of weapons systems after they have been delivered to the customer or end user.

This new 'Enterprise Service Platform' offers a flexible, comprehensive suite of integrated modules capable of supporting both 'forward' flight-line activity and 'depth' or depot-level and supply wholesale logistics for military and contractor personnel in a variety of Performance Based Logistics (PBL) and weapons systems availability contracts. Defense contractors using GOLDesp can track assets by configuration whether they be on wing, in supply, in repair or in transit.

Combat proven, fully deployable

GOLDesp has extended PBL to the battlefield by incorporating the proven, battle-tested features of Miro's Work Recording and Asset Management (WRAM OnlineTM) application. WRAM Online has been successfully deployed in Iraq and Afghanistan by the Royal Navy and Royal Air Force to autonomously support units in the field and at sea by means of effective data distribution. True 'Deployability' means that units in the field and at sea can maintain aircraft and control airworthiness in a disconnected environment, without the need to connect their laptops to a central server. GOLDesp supports multiple, remote independent operations with automated re-synchronization with a central database.

ePBL for Decision Support

Miro has increased the value proposition of GOLDesp as a decision support tool at all levels with the incorporation of our new ePBL™ (Extended PBL) portal that includes new dashboards and enhanced reporting and online analytical processing (OLAP). Optimization of the support chain is realized through better data visibility between maintenance and supply across multiple organizations and more advanced inventory planning and optimization tools, such as:

  • Dashboards and exception-based reporting and business process monitoring
  • Product life-cycle management including full maintenance planning and work recording
  • End item configuration management and maintenance
  • Repair management and recording
  • Inventory and material management
  • Capability to permit a contractor to be an ICP to receive and respond to MILSTRIP-formatted supply requisitions directly from the battlefield
  • Failure and trend analysis for improving engineering and preventative maintenance

Other key GOLDesp features and capabilities include:

  • Interoperability - provides tri-service capability (Army, Navy and Air Force) for aircraft engineering and asset management on a single, networked system.
  • Advanced technology - GOLDesp is Java EE compliant and based on Service Oriented Architecture (SOA); scalable, open-source platform. Proven transaction engine.
  • Scalability - proven ability to support as small as 8 users and as large as 10,000 users
  • Connectivity - easy integration with existing corporate infrastructure (portals, dashboards, security, etc.). Extensive set of APIs to seamlessly integrate with military and defense contractor systems.

Aerospace & Defense industry leaders are strategically committed to GOLD™. Contractors for 15 of 18 existing U. S. Air Force Contractor Supported Weapons Systems use GOLD to support their Inventory Control Point (ICP) operations. GOLD is currently supporting successful PBL programs at The Boeing Company, Lockheed Martin, Northrop Grumman, Pratt & Whitney, Rolls Royce, Hamilton Sundstrand, General Atomics Aeronautical Systems and the U.S. Navy.
