GOLDesp™ launched by Miro Technologies
New supply and maintenance software fuses latest web and enterprise technologies with flagship GOLD product line, adds new functionality
La Jolla, CA, USA – January 19, 2007
Miro Technologies announced today the launch of GOLDesp™, a new web-based supply & maintenance application designed to provide aerospace defense contractors and suppliers with an exciting new level in aftermarket logistics software in terms of technology, user experience, functionality and enterprise integration. Miro's new "Enterprise Service Platform" fuses the latest web and enterprise technologies with the best-of-breed functionality from Miro's rich GOLD™ software product line, resulting in a flexible, integrated supply and maintenance system capable of supporting both 'forward' flight line and 'depth' or depot-level logistics for military and contractor personnel in a variety of Performance Based Logistics (PBL) and weapons systems availability contracts.
"GOLDesp is much more than just a web-based version of our successful client-server GOLD product line," said Vincent Monteparte, President & CEO of Miro Technologies. "The 'ESP' in the product name also promises 'Extraordinary System Potential,' and we have planned for new modules and interfaces to further enhance both the supply and maintenance capabilities of our product."
GOLDesp supply system interfaces planned include a new Advanced Planning & Scheduling (APS) module to make it easier for OEMs and their suppliers to decide how much stock to purchase and where to stock it. Miro also is planning the addition of a Radio Frequency Identification (RFID) module to assist in warehousing and material movement scenarios. Maintenance system enhancements planned for GOLDesp include interfaces to IETMs (Interactive Electronic Technical Manuals) and military service maintenance legacy data.
GOLDesp is a Java EE compliant web application that provides a Service Oriented Architecture via Web Services and Messaging. The new generation application is based on various open source frameworks and is written in Java, HTML, JavaScript, CSS, and XML technologies. Miro has partnered with JBoss to deploy GOLDesp as a JBoss certified product that supports Windows, Linux, Solaris and HP-UX.
Specific details on the GOLDesp release schedules, product road map and system demonstrations will be provided to customers and prospects at the annual GOLD User Group Conference scheduled for January 23-25 in La Jolla, CA.
